the Center’s temporary headquarters hosted by Southern Exposure as part of the group exhibition, We Use Our Hands to Support, curated by Lukaza Branfman-Verissimo.
This temporary headquarters was installed at Southern Exposure as part of the show, We Use Our Hands To Support, visioned and gathered by Lukaza Branfman-Verissimo alongside works by Fronteristxs Collective, Amanda Curreri, and Sam Vernon. This exhibition marked the first public launch of the Center for Liberatory Practice & Poetry and invited friends and community members to contribute to its intitial library collection. The exhibition included a broad range of publications, resources, artworks and ephemera, gathered by Center steward, Kimi Hanauer, throughout various collectively-oriented projects. These included bless our breath, Press Press, Calling All Denizens, among new video-performance works that invited visitors to cultivate portals within the cracks of everyday life.
